Who else would I be speaking of, but Rufuz...

A Playful Pup…

He has been this way since he was a pup,

He will stay that way till he does die, yup,

He knows no internal, nor makes no outward sin,

He will not be around forever much to my chagrin…

Growling and nibbling on his dad,

He does so not to inflict pain,

Rather as he knows, it makes me glad,

I watch him sleep and dream,

My sanity he does sustain…

There are moments I want too…well not really…

He is always there, though sometimes underfoot,

When I am angry at something stupid,

His response is to get into my face and show love,

What more can I ask for, we two do fit like a glove…

Aaaaaw! I love that poem! I love my Vladdie so much! He's not so often playful (sometimes- maybe once a month), but, when he senses that something has upset me, he comes and sits doen in front of me (remember he's HUGE), and looks deep into my eyes. He speaks to me through his eyes.

I love your puppy!

I'm sorry Ed, I feel so dumb, all this time I've been thinking Ed was the dog and Rufus was the writer.

Awwwww, that's so sweet.
Dogs are a great example
of loyalty and devotion.
I read a Chinese proverb
once that said, "No matter
how poor his master becomes,
his dog will never leave him."

I think humanity could learn
a lot from the canine community.

BTW - he's a cutie! ;o)

This is a super poem for your beloved Rufuz. I cannot think of anything better than having a dog who loves you except for those lucky enough to have a writing bull. But that's another story.
Great poetic tribute for your pup, Ed!

I just love it when they stick their nose on you to let you know that they are there. Nothing like a fur child to let you know you are loved.
