he has his wheelchair
and i have mine
we both sit & stare
wondering what we'll find

he looks out a glass door
i look out my window
each searching for more
of what, we do not know

we both sleep
and we both eat
we both have memories that creep
we both have ghosts that we meet

his day has come & gone
mine is on it's way
we both sing our own song
we both face "Today"

someday soon he'll pass on
then, i wonder, what will i do?
when he's gone
i haven't got a clue.

we both have our wheelchairs
we both sit & stare
we both wonder "what's out there?"
we both ponder the next "where"

we both shed our silent tears
we both have our silent fears
we both have our own strife
we both face Death & Life
as silently it nears

he & i
we sit & stare
wondering "why?"
has our life passed us by
as silently we cry

knowing soon, we'll say good-by

so there,
each of us in his own wheelchair,
we wonder "where"
will this all end
or "where" will it begin
"and what then...?"

i guess the answers
just around the next bend

be it a Beginning
or be it an End
