I was sound asleep and awoke with a jolt and wrote this...I think it is to a degree what I was dreaming too...ed

Wanted: Dead or alive…

Chased across country,

By sheriff, state trooper & local alike,

In cars, on trains, in planes and on a bike,

On foot, running, walking, hiding behind trees,

If they catch me I won’t go without a fight,

Someone will die, besides the one they want, me…

Do I feel like “the fugitive”?

Do I feel fear like most others?

Do I carry a gun, do I carry a knife,

Both and nothing, I fight and escape,

I live as free as possible; I use my senses,

I stay alert; I fight all comers for this is my life…

Am I afraid, scared, & frightened?

Who do I fear most, the private citizen, with a price on my head,

The bounty hunter as he is more willing to kill,

Or the cops as they have been humiliated in past by me,

I have escaped, I have made them embarrassed, but I have yet to kill…

Where to next, the top of a building, the bottom of a chasm,

All this running, mystery & fear brings me to the point of orgasm,

I sometimes look disheveled, sometimes though I am clean-shaven,

Keep changing myself do I, as it is the only way to avoid,

A life of constant flex I do lead, living off the land,

Some do actually help me; most just want the money,

But I cannot blame them; I just watch them with a wary eye,

They are the ones I fear most, I do not want to the free world to say goodbye,

I am still alive such as it is…………………………………..still

Cryptic... veeeeeeeery cryptic! On the other hand, (is there always an "other hand?") your poetic prowess is equalled only by your obvious talent for finding poetry in every thought you have. I refuse to pretend to understand where this came from, but it's good stuff! katy xox.
