For Kate Clifford's challenge. Thank you, teacher! :-)
|
The wind kicked it up another notch And cauliflower clouds boiled overhead Lightning forked down and tasted the Earth As if it were consuming daily bread
A funnel touched down and hit pay dirt It had found an all-you-can-eat buffet It put everything into its mouth And what didn't taste good it threw away
In a cave, a tiny kitty cried Because tornadoes were its biggest fear A faerie gave the kitty a flute And taught it to play it when storms came near
The funnel roared and the kitty played A special "Don't Be Afraid of Storms" song The melody was sweet on the air And somehow, the winds did not seem as strong
The lightning laughed and danced with thunder The rain danced the funnel under the ground The kitten's music had calmed the storm And it did not cost the kitty a pound
