Just goofing around with something that popped into my head.

We are who we are...

A product of;
the world in which we live

We are shadowed thoughts
living in a dream that won't forgive;

We sometimes take much more...
than we can give;

We are open minds...
wanting to redeem and then relive

all the blind...
mistakes we've left behind...

Chorus (repeat 3 times): We are who we are...

Voices of a future yet to come

We are not regrets...
but hopes and fears on fire like the sun;

burning without logic, left undone...

We are not disdain;
but hearts that beat like rhythm of a drum...

pushing through a
harsh and driving rain;

to create a whole much greater than its sum...

Chorus (repeat 3 times): We are who we are...
