“ My Heavenly Father ”
By: Eustace Bellille©2004
Forgive me heavenly father for I have sinned
For all my sins,
Restore my soul because my heart is in the right place
Thriving to succeed, waiting for the moment to believe
Especially when I stare at my reflection in the window and all I see is a face
So as I sit by my window and stare at nothing,
I ask you heavenly father to bless me,
Make me to be a monument of peace
So that I can be at peace with myself
I would love to look out my window
And see something or someone that will be an inspiration to thee
A sign, an indication to know that hope is still alive
For what you have in store for me will be revealed soon in my life.
Heavenly father give me the strength to stay focused
Because all I have is us and in this world there is limited trust.
I want you to guide me through days of triumphs,
Give me the guidance lord to follow through on a path of righteousness,
A positive direction to a place where I can call home
Somewhere over the rainbow where there is happiness, strength, and love,
So that I will not struggle in this world alone,
For you are my conqueror, my master, and my healer
Heavenly father you are the color on my skin, the greatest son who died for my sins
You are the green beans, collard greens, lintel peas, and the bread that is broken in half on my plate, which supplies me with strength to hold on to faith,
I do appreciate the air I breathe, the morning rise and the night that cries into another day.
I praise you heavenly father because you are my tears that fall for comfort
Providing me with the assurance to believe that I will be received in the end
Because heavenly father you are my friend
And as I depart from this window, still waiting
I ask for you to give me a chance to be happy, to obtain a greater sense of self
Give me a chance to live the impossible dream.
My dream,
For this is my prayer,
To My Heavenly Father,
Amen!
