I covered my ears, but the voices penetrated through

They kept getting louder and louder

Closer and closer

I couldnít shake them

I closed my eyes, but the visions were still there

They kept getting clearer and clearer

I tried to fight it, but I couldnít hide my feelings

The hate was taking control of my blood stream

Flowing so deep, I could now taste it

I savored this sweet flavor of revenge

I wanted it to stop

I really did

I just couldnít

The satisfaction of every thought

One more satisfying than the other

Pleasures of inflicting pain to others

Each destructive thought

It felt so good

So good

I just knew it was time

Time to release the beast

The animal that lifeís trials and tribulations has created

Finally coming to the surface

So many years of build up anger

Bottled inside

All coming out

Charging

Like a furious lion that hasnít eaten

Conquering everything in sight

All bringing relief

Subsiding the pain

And the anguish of life

I love the flow, Linda. As you go, you can actually feel the fury in the pace of the words and the venting to emotions - the intensity of the passion in it. Great work!!

God bless,

Sandie.

"Inner Explosion" depicts the emotions to flow on to the lake of a grand poem poetized with the lexicon of a wise soul.

I enjoyed the reading of this poetic masterpiece, named "Inner Explosion".

I have read that one of the keys to effective writing is to capture your readers attention with your opening sentence. Well you have certainly achieved much more than that with this creative and fascinating poem. You enable your readers to ride on an emotional roller coaster ride experiencing the haunting frustration and inner wrath that seeks its remedy.

Wonderfully done, Linda. My sincere compliments.
