The Swamp (v.)

Vermilion zephyr streak
dark horizon branches
an orange lamplight overhangs
outside the garden from
rain stained windows

that seem tear stained
the season's moments come & gone
but unaged by comparison
with no answer of heaven open
where mortal loves pass on
or where they come from
on the other side of dream
asleep on a parallel pillow.

Gift of Tongues

Outstanding imagery that takes me "there" and makes me "feel." Thank you, Robin. Love and peace to you. Regis

FANTABULOUS work, Robin! I loved that enjambment between last line of first stanza and first line of next! I like the symbolism of "parallel pillow"...
