Thank you for your prayers. I'm feeling better. :-)

To prove it, I rode Thunder today. :-) Giddyap! :-)

~~~~~
I rode Thunder today
A blaze of lightning on his forehead
And gentle, gentle eyes
I rode Thunder today
~
I rode Thunder today
I haven't been on a horse in years
But it was so much fun
I rode Thunder today
~
I rode Thunder today
I wanted to fly across the Plains
And gallop like the wind
I rode Thunder today
~
I rode Thunder today
Talk about conquering fear of storms
And making memories
I rode Thunder today
You, Karla, maybe more than anyone I've read, use repetition with such gusto, with absolute meaning! It so adds to the enthusiasm, I could see and even better, I could feel your own freedom as you 'rode Thunder'...
You, dear heart, simply LEAP from the page... a wonderful treat for this reader! Very cool!~ (smile) katy xox.
Giddy Up, Girl - Hooray for you!!! And for Thunder! Every time my wife and I head to New Mexico, the first thing we do is go horse back riding; I love it; and I would love to own a noble steed like Thunder.
Your exhilaration shows through this wonderfully spontaneous piece, Karla! I am sooo pleased for you! You rode Thunder, conquered pain and fear, sped like lightning - you rocked and rolled, gal! Good for you - and the form of your poem matches your mood! Well done! LOL Kate xx
Karla, I hadn't rode a horse in years until last weekend, and I showed up at my sister's just in time to fill the saddle, before she turned Blaze back out in the pasture. There's just a feeling of freedom one gets sitting high on the back of that much muscle and power, but the next morning? I thought I was going to die! Every one of my muscles were hurting and tender to the touch, not sure I'll do that again! lol
I'm glad though that you took the chance and rode Thunder...I know you truly enjoyed it.
Atta gal! I felt your excitement Karla, as tangibly as I feel the excitement of a child on Christmas morn. I was brought up on horse back and know well the thrill of riding like this. You took me on another journey. Thank you!
