A mother cries alone
In the middle of the night
Bills are piling up
There is no end in sight
How can she tell
Her little boy of three
There's no money for gifts
Not even a tree
She wakes up Christmas morn
To a knock at her door
There's nothing there to greet her
But a box on the floor
It's laden with gifts
How did anyone know
She thanks her Christmas angels
As her tears of joy flow

A man sits by his wife's bed
On this cold Christmas eve
He's tired and he's sleepy
But he don't want to leave
He prays for a miracle
As he holds her frail hand
Giving her the strength she needs
Without her he's half a man
Her deep blue eyes flicker
As he bows his head in prayer
He don't see the Christmas angels
But she knows they're there
She feels their healing touch
As she whispers his name
Their were cries of pure joy
When the Christmas angels came

Laying on her bed
Such a pretty little girl
She'd only known the horrors
Of a hard, cruel world
Beaten black and blue
She was crying and sad
Christmas was almost here
But she'd been so bad
A hard knock on the door
She's afraid to hide
A policeman comes in
And kneels by her side
He don't know what led him there
He rarely drives out this far
But a Christmas angel was smiling
From a distant star

Your poems are so warm-hearted like this one!

Sorry I have not reviewed in a while. Things have
been crazy and we are going to move in about a week and a half.
I have been packing up boxes and such.
