Time to be in God’s presence
is but a word away,
Walking with Him in conversation
taking time to pray.
Praying for others
As you’d wish them to pray for you,
Trading our burdens
For His peace to be restored anew.
Aligning His will with yours
With a sureness of who He is,
Trusting in His excellence
To fulfill that which is His.
Thanking Him in good times
As well as the bad,
Knowing that He’s with you
Even when you’re sad.
Believing that there’s a purpose
For what you don’t understand,
Because He’s God and you trust
That there is a perfect plan.
Forgiving those who have wronged you
Especially those lost from His view,
Because as Jesus said,
“They know not what they do.”
Wanting His breath to be yours
Because it’s the purest air there is,
An air so clean and fresh
Your soul feels lighter from breathing it in.
Looking at the world
In a little different light,
Seeing it as He sees it
Precious in His sight.
Knowing He’s your Father
Yet calling Him your friend,
Either way a privilege
Because with Him you will ascend.
