She was naked
invisible -

until he brushed her heart;
chalked her soul;
etched her mind;
drew her potential;
erased her blemishes...

In his portrait
was the image she
had never seen
of a person not recognised:

made visible

with just his one word:

My portrait is in the loft, going all horrible and ugly as time moves on..

The person of who you write sounds like they are seeing they were never the ugly duckling, only thought it, when everyone else saw the swan..
