Escape

Purely fictional, unfortunately...

Escape…

Escaping to my mountainside retreat,

Hanging over the ocean, I do feel quite elite,

The front porch complete with a swinging seat,

Palm trees and waterfalls abound to make it complete…

The smell of lilac bushes do scent the air,

No need for scented candles,

As wild flowers have no compare,

Tis’ a long hike to my retreat, no cars up there,

In a place I cannot find, I know not where…

Does this place exist in my dreams?

To find it sometimes I have to go to extremes,

Or just listen to the music of a flowing stream,

When sitting on my porch I do listen to the Supremes…

Hiding from society here I do,

Its solitude and remoteness do keep me from feeling blue,

The full moon seems to stay within my view,

I can only say to the gods for this dream, thank you…!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...as Shakespeare said:
"To sleep...to dream."
And what a dream you have painted here! The graphic makes
me want to pack and head out to some serene mountain top...

Sigh... so lovely, so needed are these dreams of a calmer, quieter, more nature-filled place. This is just a superb description of a place that dwells in the heart.

May I suggest the music of Enya... or, perhaps Chopin? The Supremes? Em... love 'em, Eddie M, but aren't they a little "busy" for such a tranquil setting? (grin) We dream as we dream... don't let me interfere with yours... I'm just talkin'... thanks, dear heart, for transporting me for a while... katy xox.

I needed it also. We got to have our dreams, yours is great and you put it in words. G

Ed,

I love lilacs. I think I'll stay in your dream for awhile if you don't mind company.

Sounds like a nice retreat, Ed, even if it is only in your dreams.
Take care,
