Gray day,
Haven for soul's blues,
Your skies
Umbrella my mood.

Gray day
Turns my flesh into food,
Dark eyes
Smolder with my truth.

Gray day,
Heaven-sent my way,
Uncovers guise
Of depthless skies.

Gray day,
I love you.

Okay Erin, I'm very tempted to change my point of view of those dreary days.
Nice.

We all need someone or something which can and will support our moods, even if it is gray, cloudy skies. You are not alone.

I love this, Erin. There's certainly a time and place when we can embrace our "grey" instead of desiring to "shoo" it away. I like this interpretation of being comfortable, relaxed and at peace with the inevitable "greys" we all encounter. Speaks of a personality that is at ease and in harmony with itself. Succinct, well-metred with a wonderful rhyming scheme and great images... gets a gold star from me! TY Kate xx

Good one, Erin! Sometimes we do prefer a gray day to a sunny day. The quietness of a gray days seems to give us more time to think our thoughts.

Happy New Year to you and your family!

This "Gray Love" sounds like a rainbow to my ears and seems rose to my eyes. Its symbolism is a viand for the soul, and its impressionism
prods the wings of imagination.

I have enjoyed the reading of "Gray Love".

Some great lines in this one, and I too love gray days! The sun is ever present in our climes,Erin. My area of Ca is now getting deluged with rain and most of us love the change, we look forward to it, in this season.

"your skies umbrella my mood"... ooooooo, sweets, you're such a metaphoric mistress.. sigh. I saw myself in this one. We do have a bond, Erin. Sometimes you speak my mind. (smile) katy xox.
