You've got to do your own growing, no matter how tall your grandfather was.
Irish Proverb

                To…

To growing this poem is going,

To spreading wings and to fly, this poem tells no lie,

To leaving the nest, doing our best,

To living with only the self, other than our lil’ writers elf,

To ourselves being, this is what you are here seeing,

To scratch out a living, that we do with as well, giving,

To become one, this we do with all, not just some,

To follow the flow, we must do this to grow…

To live within the now, we must sometimes give unto the Tao,

To live in the past, we do waste precious contrast,

To find love, some want it to fit like a glove,

To speak directly to God, we must sometime appear odd,

To keep your consciousness on track, you must avoid looking back,

To avoid an attack, we must use compassion and tack…

Yes I suppose we do appear odd but then he reminds of his love and for me it is my little dog breathing on my feet keeping them warm when they peek out from beneath the covers. Or big old Bear who dearly loves his master and would pull him from raging waters too. I hope we all find success in writing.
