Death could be right around the corner, who knows?

Passed away,
gone to stay,
nothing more to say,
no more fun and play,
gone back to dirt and clay.

*************

A friend knocked,
I answered the door.

He asked how my new years was,
I told him fine.

I asked about his,
he said he stayed in and slept.

Then he told me his brother passed
the day after new years.

***************

While I'm still here,
I'll be celebrating new year.
Long as I can walk,
some fun I'll stalk.
Forget the rhyme,
New Years party time!

G
