Adios Amigo

Farewell my friend

This is the end

Don’t know where I’m going

But it’s not with you

Don’t know what I’m doing

Sitting here telling you…Goodbye

Farewell my friend

Yes it is the end

Don’t look so sad

It isn’t that bad

You’ll find someone new

You always do

Farewell my friend

Your heart will mend

It’s not so much the parting

More the word…Goodbye

I’ll never find someone like you

You know it’s true

Farewell my friend

Now it’s the end

One last kiss

Something I’ll really miss

Don’t know what I’m saying

I just can’t say…Goodbye

Relationships go thru so many incarations........things end, and yet they don't.......I don't believe anything is engraved in stone, unless you carrry around a bag of cement lol...........
Or unless the hearts have turned to stone, then in that case, nobody is missed at all.............
Hard to say goodbye, especially IF you did
consider the person a special FRIEND.......
ahhhhhhhh new year, new beginnings, right???
All the best of luck to you!!!

I have to wholeheartedly agree with Lisa on the theme of this one.
But your poem is a work of art, Andrea. Enjoyed it much.

Andrea, I do my best to never let the word, Goodbye, slip through my lips..always 'later or until next time' never goodbye. Maybe its just me..but that has a texture of finalization that leaves a bitter taste on my lips.
Excellently written!

Lisa
