If She Suffers In Silence

They ignore her battered face

refuse to see the violence

their world will still feel safe

if she suffers in silence

They donít look her in the eye

donít want to hear her cry

She isnít safe at home

and canít get out alone

She tried to hold her head high

til everyone passed her by

Now she turns in shame

feels her spirit drain

Sheís too weak for decisions

too depressed for new visions

needs a  helping hand

one person who understands

But people wonít be involved

Her problem is too big to solve

One smile might give her faith

but people turn away

Their world will still feel safe

if she suffers in silence

A live voice to prod the indifference - I listen from the lines of
"If She Suffers In Silence", - which sings its message in wise harmony with the song of Justice.

Sandy, I'd like to see this put to music. It's too sad and too true, been there, done that.
