ď A thing of beauty is a joy forever.Ē
-John Keats

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A thing of beauty
isnít a joy forever to me.
Iíve never seen beauty
dancing with the eternity.

Iím not perplexed
by the ecstasy of the beauty.
I know it is not as beautiful
as they think it is.

I look at the world and ponder
over the phenotype of the beauty.
Beauty is not beauty,
it is yet to be.

No elucidation is possible
of the beauty.
If only the beauty could speak,
Iíd know what beauty is.

Iíve my own world
to live in- the world of generosity.

Have you ever seen the sky
running after the clouds?
Have you ever seen the flowers
running after the fragrance?

A thing of beauty
isnít a joy forever to me.
Even a thorn looks
as beautiful as the rose to me.

Iíve seen the thorn
blossom into the rose.
And the rose
wither into the dust.

A thing of beauty
isn't a joy forever to me.
A thing of beauty
isn't a joy forever to me.

I feel sad the author of this poem seems to be unable to appreciate a thing of beauty. He incurs a number of contradictory statements, on the other hand. To sum up, I think I could say, "A poem badly written is a pain in the neck for ever" Laura

Thought-provoking and well-put. I am particularly taken
with the lines:
"Have you ever seen the sky
running after the clouds?
Have you ever seen the flowers
running after the fragrance?"
Write on!

Intense, searingly honest and deeply heartfelt. You are a master poet, Bhuwan, who has natural rhythm, flow and meter and a natural poetic diction and lilt. Your coda is a powerful, thoughtful, "natural" repetition that endorses all that precedes it. You plumb the depths and touch the heights - and take us all with you. You have visionary eyes that are tireless in pursuit of the truth and which allow for no complacency. Where you lead, others of us would follow if it were not for the softness of our feet and the hardness of our hearts; we need to learn from you to harden the soles of our feet and to soften our hearts. You are indeed our Master in this. LOL - give me news, please!! Kate xx

This is sad and heartfelt. I know why and how you're feeling and how this poem was created. I hope in time you and the children will be able to see the beauty of the world, that it is not as deem as you might think.

I'm urging others who are seeing this post to give generously to help the children and other victims who are in need of help.

I hope in time you will see more of the beauty of everything around you and will be able to smell the roses and enjoy them.

Your true friend always,

Sandie May Angel :o)

Great lines.

"I know it is not as beautiful
as they think it is."

It's probably not as beautiful as we think it is either... all in the eye of the beholder.

You do know how to make one think and see beyond what is the obvious beauty. The rose always comes with the thorn being equal by the creator.

it is said beauty is fleeting, and that is true
if you are talking of the facade. inner beauty
which is what lasts, is much more difficult to see
and I think that is what you are speaking of...Love Eileen

A very profound write, Bhuwan. I do cherish my thoughts of the beautiful things I have seen and for having smelled a rose, I can smell it now from my recall. But beauty fades...it, like all of life, leaves only memories.
Take care,
Sherry
