old pets
you and me

minutes as they pass their ways

old cars
old bar stools
old bars
old fools

new babies
and maybe's
could be's
and would be's
and words you sees

words you hear
be it there or here
late at night
words that you write
right or wrong
a song
you sing

is said and done
beutifull things are all
we have known
all we've been shown

red has it's passion
pink is in fashion
yellow is mellow
blue is blue
quite a blue fellow
blue, too, can be mellow

green is the grass
we see it pass
into brown
with a clown's face, a clown,
from grren to brown

black has no white
it's a darkness
without light
a starkness
black has it's own darkness

and white
has no color
that don't seem right
is there not more?
is white not the light?
so i write on
until i see the sun

beauty is in the eye
of the beholder
and you and i
were bolder

when you & me
were a we
a beauty
the color red
the love we had
the blue
the love that was true
the yellow
when we were mellow
the green
when we were a love machine
the brown when i laid you down
the sound
of our poetry
was beauty

when the sun rises
or when the sun sets
and those blue skieses
at the end of each day you gets
what you gets
you bets
it's poetry
it's beauty

every color
every poem
every song
every love
every one
or none

is a simple color
every word
can explain
every song
may sing
every love
may bring
to everyone
or to none

it's somthing beautiful.

something read
something colored
something loved

something beautiful.

old pets
old poets
old whiskey
you & me

something beautiful.

you & me.

a rose so red.
a rose yellow.
a rose peach.

a rose is a rose
by any color
a rose is beauty
was you and me
something beautiful

was you & i.

late at nights
star lights
the sun
the full moon

somethings are beautiful.

you are...
more beautiful than
a morning star
before the moon began.

somethings are beautiful
you are
forever and again and again
and where did i begin...

old pets
and cigarettes
moutain dew
and loving you

are something beautiful
a heart full
of beautiful things
your memories brings

somethings are beautiful

but, love, you are my poetry

This poem made me sigh ... and weep 'cause it's an aching, flowing river of love and sorrow! Bravo!
