Let's take time to take stock...

I opened my eyes but not a thing could I see

I was blinded by something, what could it be

I listened and listened but I could not hear

I could not decipher words that were so clear

I reached out to touch but felt only empty space

My life was gone, nothing seemed in its’ place

I looked into my heart and saw a dim light burning soft

I searched in my soul where God still watched from aloft

I had fallen by the wayside but now it was time to get up

My road still stretched before me and that was enough

My vision soon began to clear to a bright sunny day

My ears heard the chorus of birds singing at play

When you open your heart, your soul and your mind

It’s amazing my friends the treasures you may find.

A New Beginning that is there to take hold of each and every day, Felix - and I am glad to see that the "Old Road" part has disappeared this time, perhaps never to be taken again! Taking stock is good - it enables us, perhaps, to put our best foot forward in a better direction for a change! As good today as it was when I last read these words of overcoming and transcendence. Go you! LOL Kate xx
