Wait for the picture...

Under my bed is a coffin…

I have a most unusual bed,

At least that is what I am told is said,

It lifts to reveal a storage space,

It really is such a dark, foreboding place…

You see I was insulating the floor down there,

I am trying to stay a bit warmer, isn’t that fair?

But when I did get in under there,

My bed it did fall down and enclose me where,

I could not get out, I had to call for help I do declare…

When help did not arrive,

I had to help myself; hey this is no jive,

Pushing up on the bed with my feet,

I felt as though I was pushing through freshly laid peat…

But I did get out, as you can see by this write,

But now I have the floor and wall insulated,

Never again will I have to crawl under there,

Never again will I have to allow myself to be desecrated...

Whew! Thank god for your legs and feet, eh? Little by little, we are being treated to the homestead, through pics and poems. Soon, we will ALLLLLLLLL have to stop in and hang out. Yippee!

Oh, and one more thing: BE CAREFUL, Eddie M. Sigh... katy xox.

Ed: I must comment and state that your writing skills have increased GREATLY since you joined AuthorsDen. I would suggest that you write some more short stories, whether they be fact or fiction. You are going to become an excellent writer when and IF you ever grow up. (Please take my advice and NEVER grow up--bein' a kid is a whole lot more fun). Love, Susan Sparks (Matt's MOM)
