Nature is God and God is Nature...

At the foot of my God…

I sit here with my pen and paper to write,

I like to keep my ocean, my beach in sight,

The gulls do check over my work,

I try to keep in mind a duty I cannot shirk…

I am here to record,

Her every move, she does allow me this reward,

For I have treated her with kindness,

Throughout my days, my beach, my ocean I have only but adored…

Her waves do break not far off,

As she does speak to me and never does she scoff,

Her waves created by an underwater trough,

I try not to disturb her in her own thought,

Only when she does storm does she seem distraught…

On paper the write cannot her describe,

On it I can only her feelings transcribe,

On the painters canvas her moods are not seen,

Therein she can only be circumscribe…

Only in person can one be the judge,

Of her moods, her changes, therein we cannot her begrudge,

I can never of her and her beach resent,

Here at the foot of my God I can only but repent…

Oh, to see the ocean as it looks in your picture, with mounds of snow, hurling winds and waves, speaking to my soul. When you write of her, Eddie M, you write from your gut... and I respond. katy xox.

This is so beautiful, Ed. When I was growing up, we always had a beach house, so I spent most of my mornings and evenings there, sitting on the sand or on the jetty, feeling the spirit and mood of the sea. We each are a part of her and she of us.
Take care,
Sherry
