Moths drunk on the glow
of incandescent porch light
butt heads against the inevitable

Kamikazes, they once went down in flame-
candle, kerosene or gaslight-
then died, dignity preserved

Traditionalists who know their place
in the universal scheme of things,
they maintain the illusion at all cost

I like this one and I like moths as much as I do butterflies.
