+In Memoriam Dr. Silke Lance, 1980-2005+

Transcendental Sonnet #1253:

All Over

+In Memoriam Dr. Silke Lance, 1980-2005+

Back to the darkness and back to the void

Back to the cell of my loneliness now

Waking to find that my dream is destroyed

Hoping that this is a nightmare somehow

My only consolation is that she

Who loved me has escaped the savagery

Of he who swore that he would take her life

Marc Hermann with his hate and bloody knife

Never deserving of her as his wife

He plotted he would kill her by degree

But she was always so much smarter than

This paranoid pervert little-big man

She died when she decided and is free

All over for her...  all over for me

Dear Steve,

Loss in any shape or form is never easy, and loss of this magnitude is inconsolable. Saying how "terribly sorry I am", are words which seem and sound so inadequate at this time, they are all I have to offer you, only enhanced with what you can neither see, feel or hear, but conveyed with my sincere humble thoughts and prayers. Although Silke may not be around in body, remember that her spirit lives eternally, and is besides you always. Your strength is what is required, and I am sure, what she would have wanted. Life never seems fair and kind, but somehow, in time, we realise the difference that we have made to a person or persons. The love that you both shared, and had for each other , the happiness that she experienced with time spent with you, should be enough for you to understand. Never see it as darkness or a void, but rather a rewarding experience, which you will understand in time to come.

Take care and my blessings Steve.

I wanted to respond to this poem as well Stevie because I know it was one written in such pain and anguish. It amazes me sometimes how insensitive people can be but I'm guessing they are ignorant rather than being deliberately hurtful. When I read the words, "All over for her... all over for me" I understood what you were saying even while those words saddened me. When the one you love dies, you often feel as though you have died as well. Your emotions are deadened and you have to deal with incredible shock. Yes, when Silke died, your dreams of a future together died also. She was your life for more than a thousand days and she will continue to be a part of your life as long as you draw breath. Don't deny what you feel precious friend, allow it expression. What a wonderful talent you have and it is all the more special because it can allow you expression of your feelings - in this there is a measure of healing. What you've been through, no man should have to experience and all I can say now (and words are never enough I know) is to assure you that you are not alone. I know that one of the emotions you are likely to feel in the days to come is anger. Try not to drive that anger inwards but release it in your work. This is a great start. I know how you must feel about this sadistic man but don't let it break you up. There is always justice in the end. Let it be God's justice.
God bless you and give you strength

I am sorry for your loss. Silke was a beautiful person and an excellent poetress; I value each review she ever left on my humble works. Powerfully and painfully expressed. :(

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :(

I wish to tell you that we are sorry. But realize that she still lives in your dreams a place where she never left. Perhaps I shall we say an optimist in that I believe that you and she will be together again where nothing or no one will ever take her from you again. May God comfort you in your time right now Steve.
