i was out walkin'
early today
i walked down by Corpus Christi Bay
there was fog, the sky was gray
kinda' fit how i felt today
to mySelf i was talkin'
about Yesterday
and what had gone away

Suddenly,
the Son broke thru
i could see
a patch of blue
a light
so true
a light
there in my night

and as i was walkin'
in the gentle breeze
i heard Him talkin'
talkin' to me
" My son, let go ...
let go of Yesterday
The Gift I give you is Today.
can't you See?
don't you Know?
I am with you.
can't you See the blue
there in the gray?
It's a brand New Day.
Hear What I Say!"

i was out walkin'
early Today
i saw the Start
of a Brand New Day
and it touched my Heart
as i saw the blue there in the gray

Ah, Steve this is inspired, I think quite possibly one of your best, or maybe even THE BEST! I really like this one, can't you tell...? I am sitting in my motorhome watching the snow fall, they are now predicting 10 to 16 inches of the white stuff...it is truly an inspiring sight to watch the build up of this "blizzard", fortunately work is not sending me north tonight...the roads are TOO bad and unsafe...sorry to ramble on, but with the snow outside my door, I am finding it hard to even get out of the trailer...LOL! I also truly envy that walk you took...sounds wonderful right now...! Seek peace and you will find it, Ed & Rufuz

A lovely progression of thoughts combined with a heart that can hear blues in grays makes this an inspiring, uplifting piece, Steve.

I've never seen Corpus Christi Bay, but I have been to Rocky Point, or Puerto Penasco, Mexico, on the Gulf of California. As someone who's been landlocked most of her life, I love walking, observing and feeling the life of ocean waters, even when grey.
