And so it is, my breath releasing
Puzzle solved, once never ceasing
I bow my head and place it in my hands.
Full circle now, the game we play
All burden gone, henceforth this day
My name washed clean, revealing pristine sands.
Another, though you would not tell
Your professed strength was just a shell
It kept concealed the truth I cried out for.
A pledge, a verse, a heart laid bare
None worth this just, deserving care?
I will not mourn these painful scars once more.
Some years have passed, yet now I know
Your seed of guilt can only grow
In time a tree, trunk sturdy, branches high.
Its shade of doubt will not be near
So no more questions must I fear
No longer will I ever wonder why.

I read this several times so that I might fully absorb it. I found much wisdom and strength here. Very nice work, Colin.
In awe,
