These moments are rare, but I welcome them.

I saw the stars come out last night

And something touched me in a

Kind of fundamental, not quite

Elusive way that made me feel

The workings of greater things

In motion, my role undetermined

By the likes of mortal thinking, my

Voice but a whisper in the din of

Creation but still heard clearly

Nonetheless, beyond the limitations

Of my own humanity.

And distant moons seemed to pause

In their orbits as I voiced that silent

Prayer…

Excellent - a moment of pure connection and illumination that will have eternal and far-reaching consequences - here and now; there and then! Great "open-heaven" moment, sharing emotional traffic with the Divine! Love this, thank you. Kate xx

I love the way Eileen reviews the poetry of others. I add my voice to hers in congratulating you on this awesome poem. It has such fluidity of movement and such quiet impact at the end. Superb!
