Looking Back!!

When I was only seven

I thought I was in heaven

I had a brand new front tooth

And a brand new school uniform

And my body had no defects

It was only perfect

No extra baggage or boobs

Without any aches or pains

No damn heartache or sorrow

Just so very happy to be the age seven

And not that ugly eleven

Legs now longer but no boobs yet

Now that I am 4711ís

Four sevens and one or more elevens

I wish I could be at heavenís door

Or even become a grandma of seven

Before I go to heaven

My New Haven

Geez what a long way

Looking back

What a precious picture, Tinka, thanks for sharing it with us. Life did seem so much simpler then, but so much sweet time has passed between there and here as well as some bitter moments. I would never trade them for the gift of being 7 again, or even 11. Hopefully, the grandkids will come for you soon, Tinka and you will relate to them as they grow through all those wonderful stages. Life is amazing, never allow a moment to be filled with hate, for there is a lesson within all that occurs.
Take care,
Sherry

Hey! You look just like a girl in my grade school class. She always got me in trouble, too - with those nasty old nuns!!!

And those good old days truly do seem like a different lifetime now.

Ah, we can't help but look back, I am afraid that I do it far too much, write about "those" days far too much, but tomorrow is just as important as yesterday. Damn! That's a good one I believe.
