Lets see now,
I know this day is starting.
My body hurts,
I'm overweight and sore.
I'm hungry,
I want to eat.

Everything that was before,
is again knocking on my door.
a New day,
same old play.
I've been through this many times,
there's nothing new in lifes slimes.

My brain does not cooperate,
it fails to negotiate.
My body is on its own,
the brain walks alone.
It wants to take me on the trip,
my body stills wants to slip.

I figure my body will follow,
or continue to let negativity swallow.
The brain is smarter,
than the body harder.
My brain knows what's best,
many times its past the test.

I figure my totality will unite,
things always comes out right.

The preacher on tv,
"follow the brain,
don't let the body drain."

This is all true ,
as I was writing,
a preacher says the same.
I'll finish listening to him,
then jump to it.

Figuring is over!

Hi Grady:

You should see the show "Big Loser", people who go on weight dieting through hard work, determination, diet, and exercising. Many of these folks have lost as much as 77 lbs. I applaud their determination of hard work. It's a show that's worth watching. I have watched the last season finale. I'm not sure if another season is on yet but you can certainly check this out. The show has given will powers and inspirations to many of my co-workers and friends. (well, even though I'm not overweight, but it's good to know that it's possible to lose 77 lbs. through one's determination. It happened right before my eyes on the TV).

The picture in this poem is so funny. Yes, sometimes I get into that laziness too. Sometimes, all I wanted to do was just to lay back and relax and won't do anything for a while; but then again I also knew I had to get back up and stand on my own feet somehow.

A good poem with a great message.
