Maybe you have never known the tryanny of a blank sheet of paper, or a blank word processor screen ---- Lucky You!

there it is
that damned blank page
how many letters
have I not written?
words of love
left uncoveyed
all those essays . . .
insightful insights lost …
delayed
and, oh, the novels
imagined, but
never finished …
all because
of that damned
blank page

To defeat that blank page, draw a mark on it, then it won't be so damn intimidating! :-)

It happens. May the muse not left
you in mid-flight.
May your pages not remain blank.
Keep writing.

Interesting and I just made a deal with a guy for some old love letters written back in 1903. In a few weeks I will be writing about them. Interesting point about the blank page.

I think we all have known this lament, John, at one time or another and as usual, sometimes it is for the best, you come back with some of the best writes of your life...and then again some of us just return from the brink with writes like mine...LOL! Peace, Ed & Rufuz

I liked it a lot. I thought it was very thought provoking. You have good flow and good word usage. Something a lot of writers can definately identify with. :) Keep writing!!
