Feelings are created through interaction with another source, which stimulates, soothes, caresses, loves, strengthens, and uplifts the soul and essence of another life. This poem reflects the feelings in the beginning of a serious relationship in its freshness of growth.

What You Do To Me

I love what you do to me, and how we interact.
The patience that you show with me makes my heart react.
I love when you say to me, “I love the little woman that I have.”
The manner in which you deal with me soothes me like a salve.

I love what you do to me, and how your voice is low.
The way you tell me that you love me, sets my heart aglow.
I love when you say to me, I am “your precious jewel”.
The way you make me feel inside reminds me when I was young in school.

I love what you do to me, and how you treat me right.
The honorable posture of your self, maintained consumingly;
I love when you say to me, how you’ll love me evermore.
The way you say sweet things to me as you’re walking out the door.

I love what you do to me, and how you touch me gently;
The strength you choose to show mentally, not overbearing physically.
I love when you say to me, “you’d never walk away”;
The way you make me feel safe and secure, I hope will always stay.

I love what you do to me, and how you’ve brought me back to life;
The trust that we have created between us, is one thing that relieves my strife.
I love when you say to me, “You are my beautiful lady”.
The way you stroke my hair and skin, makes me know I’m “your baby”.

I love what you do to me that brings out the best in me;
The joking and the loving ways we share, I treasure readily.
I love when you say to me all the things you want us to share.
The way you work so diligently, to make sure life is somewhat fair.

I love what you do to me that again makes me optimistic;
The wonderful personality you have, and how you muss my lipstick.
I love when you say to me all your playful, witty quips;
The way you hold me in your arms, and the way you tenderly kiss my lips.

I love what you do to me that makes me come alive;
The unending refusal to let me stay hidden from the depths of your soul’s eyes.
I love when you say to me, you “want to spend your life with me”.
The way you make me feel within, now makes my heart stop wanting to flee.

I love what you do to me that makes me want to write.
The strength, hope, and goodness you have inside, to this world brings true light.
I love when you say to me, “I’ll call you in a little while.”
The way it makes me tingle again, when what you say is true , yes, it makes me smile.
