my inner thoughts
are like outer space
large, glittery
as though there's a race.
I'm sometimes helpless
to keep up the pace,
like a UFO
they feel out of place,
disconnected, loony,
interwoven, like lace,
with the "normal" ideas
(and here's the disgrace)...
sometimes I'm just lazy.
I give up the chase.

I haven't read much lately... been tied up, down and sideways... drifting back. Not to worry... (smile).

At least you don't have any vile, obscene, or obtuse thoughts... ;-). Cute poem.

YOU? Spacey? Naaaaaaaaaaah...LOL

You describe discombobulation perfectly--'cause I've felt that way, too. Excellent write!

(((HUGS))) and much love, Karla. :)

sometimes we have to be a little spaced out so that we can come to terms with out inner breadth ...

I'm wondering how Ed Matlack has such piercing insight to your activities without him being into that, too. Know whut ah mean, Katydid? Ah well, if you're tied down, that just means the kitchen stays clean. And as sick as I've been lately, I haven't had time to read anything either. Or write, for that matter! That's the most frustrating part: To not be able to write when you most want to.

One can only do so much in a day.

Sometimes doing nothing, is the best thing to do.

Recharging them batteries, then letting the alternater take over..

The poem describes a few people I know!
Glad you are doing okay though.
Things will get back to "normal" soon
Take care and excellent poem!

So you are into being tied up, huh? As always the kinky loon you are...and as "they" say, "This too shall pass"..Ed

Maybe you are being abducted every night in your sleep by those nasty UFOs. Hope they leave you alone soon.

Aw that happens to us all. I know you'll snap back.

Oh, the words you so aptly write I can attest to in a very personal way. I have felt the exact same thoughts for the last three days . . . Until this morning when I awoke and the sun was breaking instead of setting. Know-whot-I-mean. Hang in. Of course you will. Even when feeling disjointed you can still give us poetry. I am awed.
