It’s been so long
since I spoke of you,
always fearing the interlopers

But there are times
when a heart is so soothed
that restraint is out of order

Where an inner voice demands exposure;
to flow freely, boldly, in loud strokes

Passing the days in quiet
I dressed myself in patience
bundling up silence of thought
I waited for my heart to settle

And as surely as the morning bird
rises to catch the light
Love did, what it does best;
it shared itself, as I shared myself

In the privacy of our intimacy,
preened between lost feathers
Our hearts opened without fear or shame,
as we moved forward, until the end.

Now draped in your soft, quiet light
I soar through the open sky
Letting darkness wash away from me;
eloquent wings unfurl unto wisdom

This is the most surreal piece of poetry about a one night stand (I assume, but am probably wrong.) that I have ever read. Very confusing, but that doe not take away form the gist of the poem, it only adds to it.

That poster is very beautiful and so is this poem. But the poster does catch the eye.
