The white eye's glare
seduces with mock innocence
I melt into the paper canvas
and paint myself a fool again
with a palette of pink and green
When will I learn?
That old lech, the master
of disquise, paints himself
as an angel of light
while he snatchs my secret sorrows
and lays them open to debauchery
And I, the harlequin unmasked,
Variegate my soul in black and white
