Last night vivid memories merged
together in a desert dream

Through thunder and light
with outstretched arms
you reached to me

In mournful silence
I held your fallen body
And watched the life leave your eyes

This time you were the Dying Gaul
And the hands that pulled me back
were only those of docents

Somebody has to stop the dream, even a rude curator, or some such titled person. I liked this poem but I'd take a look at the third line from the bottom. [Your?]
