Good morning to all...
Philosophical humor, boy now am I gettin' into some heavy thoughts...

Damned if we do, Screwed if we don’t…

Did ya ever get that feeling that things just were not as they seem?

We go to work with an attitude of good and feeling happy,

We get home thinking we did miss something that day,

Was it something important, will we in the end get reamed…?

Now this may be just me, or it may even be just you,

I may be seeing or feeling something beyond myself,

But damned if I can figure it out, or should I put it on a shelf,

That’s right, should I just forget it, let it come or not,

Just move on with life, till whatever it is comes up and burns me,

It being such a burning issue in the end, yes that’s right, it would be hot…

Could I be asking the question of the ages here?

Could I be making sense, at last, out of living?

Or could I just be rambling on again,

Induced by but a few hours sleep,

Inspired by a near death dream,

Or was it those hot wings & pepperoni just before bedtime…J?

I have always had such vivid dreams after eating something spicy. Once well that is another poem and hey thanks for the inspiration.

I think it was the hot wings and pepperoni, and next time, if you add a few shots of mescal (with the worm), you will really be on to some burning issues!

ah... that "missed something" feeling at the end of the daily grind... sounds to me like the hot wings and pepperoni help to illuminate your probing thoughts, Ed! do carry on; much enjoyed the playful quality this ponderous piece. well done!

Well the title pulled me in, like a hungry fish..but now that I've read it, I'd say take two Rolaids and if the yearning to dig deeper doesn't soon dissolve..there really could be more to it!
Love this Ed!
