... a moment of thought and inspiration.

This I know is very different to my usual ... so I hope I have managed to capture the essence and beauty of Africa... and trust that my feelings and emotions will course through you, as they do me!

warm hugs and love

Africa Calls…. Listen !

Africa speaks
listen to her gentleness
as she voices across the wild
although in many tongues so foreign
still so universally understood.

You breathe in her vastness,
filling your lungs to exalting point,
stimulating the once fasting mind,
with landscapes so unique,
as pulsating drum beats,
exude from her essence
invigorating within you,
primal instincts.

Within her arid dry expanses,
and her harsh Sahara,
with blowing stinging sands,
your feelings will still capture her beauty,
which will course through you,
as her many rivers that flow within her form.

Your pleasures enhanced,
with the magnificence of her splendid heights,
your eyes will hunger,
for the impressive picturesque quality,
of her mountainous terrains,
as they reach towards the sky.

Your sadness expressed,
as thoughts of leaving her,
but only as in her vales,
as seen from the beauty of above,
with meandering rivulets,
that will lift your spirits once again,
and exude, that element of affinity,

The sleep desired,
afraid of missing a single moment,
yet her alluring seductive sunset,
of red, yellow, orange hues,
will stroke your emotions,
with peace and tranquility,
inviting, enticing, and enthralling.

Your energy and love renewed,
by her bewitching soft sensual smile,
that captures your heart,
with rays of deep rich sheen
of golden warmth,
as she casts her glowing spell
upon your soul,
and forever holds you captive....
within her core.

Superb imagery! "...she casts her glowing spell apon your soul, and forever holds you captive within her core." Like the great mountain that was once an active volcano(is it still?)...beautiful! Africa, being the seat of creation, has a mystical pull whose heartbeat(drumbeat) resounds in all of us...

Your love for your homeland shines in this piece and grabs the reader's heart and imagnation right from the first few words. As a Canadian I find many similarities between Africa, believe it or not, to my own country Canada. Although the climates are different the vastness, uniqueness, giant waterfalls, mountains and diversities of many peoples and cultures are the same. Anyway I always wished to visit your land and through your words my heart has at least touched down there, Thank you.

Hugs,
Felix
