Life is not a problem. If we live, we live, if we die, we die; if we suffer, we suffer; it appears that we are the problem. - Alan Watts

around in circles
looking deep with in
the niches of my mind ~
while doing my time.

exhaling bitter logic
leeching off my soul
inside niches of my mind ~
while doing my time.

freedom from doubts
planted by impediments
penetrating niches of my mind ~
while doing my time.

mellow mental clarity
projecting love and faith
cleansing niches of my mind ~
while doing my time.

broken chains fall
I can see clearly
with in my mind ~
done my time.

This poem flows from a fountain of deep thoughts to
the lake of sublimity. "Done My Time" is an inspiring
poetic excellence.

I salute You, Poet!

Girl, this is good. It's sooooo good. I get so tired of people saying, Oooh, don't talk to me if you got drama. Well, sugars if you don't have drama, you've flat-lined. You're dead. Life is drama. It's how you handle it that makes the difference. Simplicity is in the mind. Master it! Great write!

Excellent Z~ we all come to our time when we understand the things that have brought us to it.I think life is lived on levels of understanding, and how long it takes us to reach each level is up to how much we put in to learning about ourselves. Love, Eileen

Yes this one has a lot of depth and insight and brings out some truths as well.

Indepth and thoughtful write about our life here on this old planet. I believe that we do take ourselves a bit too seriously for the most part. It has taken me quite a few years to understand that and the fact that people can actually get along if they pnly put their minds to it and forgive themselves for the thoughts that they have which hinder that "getting-along." You really took this poem to another level. Good.
