Another...

Another Wonder of the World

The tides roar in to meet the shore and crash the rocks to sand
Iíve never actually seen it happen but I try to understand

There has been hail the size of golf balls and snow in the summer sun
I do not really know the reason for it or how it all begun

I saw the beauty of the northern lights and the arctic sights so rare
Iíve really wondered at natures beauty so much it has to share

The delicate arc of a rainbow, the foggy mist of Niagara Falls
I have heard the coyote sing beneath a silver moon his lonesome calls

I have seen a lot in this old world and each one was a special treat
But your eyes smiling up at me was what knocked me off my feet.

Sure glad that you made it clear what you were writing about. There is really nothing that can compare with the smile of a baby. A smile can make your heart race, your legs turn rubbery and most of all it can make you smile back at them. Great. Karen

Thank you all but just thought I should clarify something the subject of this poem was my baby grandaughter Jaime Lee.

Felix, the people close to you, are lucky people, for they are the recipients of your affections.
Another beautiful write, from your heart.
