the trails of my nails on the surface of your skin
wind around you and bind you in a permanent pin

love me or hate me you will never forget me
i fire your desire even if you regret me

your body's not lying to you
it wants to be lying with me

grievances all become petty at night
when alone with your teeth bared you fight so why fight

a passion ingrained in your genes since the dream time
and dream yes you will of barely consensual crime

you sometimes get the feeling i'm laughing at you
but my will's just as weak when it comes to you too

my castle has crumbled and now leans on the wall
that loses a brick each weekend when you call

pride like the desperate villagers rush
to rebuild the ramparts and resist the crush

and sometimes dilema becomes destructive decision
applying a home bandage to an arterial incision

i will never be one of those girls i once said
i will never let a man make me lose my head

and yet here i am wrapped so tight in my sheet
you are so bad for me but at least you don't bleat

my endorphins those bastards molecules of deceit
make me smile when you smile even though i'm your meat

i find that i'm losing this war against self
and rather than go elsewhere i sit on the shelf

i always would say people do what they do
and i guess it's the same between me and you

so the fight is over and i surrender to fate
rather than lower my standards i'll wait

my body doesn't lie to me either
i just wish i could lie to you

This is very powerfully expressed and thus most compelling. Thank you, Niki. Love and peace to you. Regis
