Itís a slow burn
a deep ache
a never-ending need
always pushing me forward
like a fierce wind
in a wildfire
propelling my sails
moving me closer
and closer to you
It never stops
and I see no reason for it to
Ďcause I love that feeling
of always wanting you

That, would thereon a sunset sea, set sail,
Heed so the westward winds of our endeavours
That we may too, those helping winds prevail.

Ah that hormonal wildfire...even water does not quench it.

This is positively locomotive, Sara... heady, in some marvelous way as it rolls along, picking up steam. The poetry gives it beauty, the style and form makes reading it a treat. I love the ending. It's where I hoped it would go, but spoke it in a newer, more clever way. Good stuff! katy xox.

This is so powerfully emotive and so well written--follow the currents to love. :) BRAVA!

I can relate, Sara. It is such a sweet hurt that it almost feels like what we want Heaven to feel like, but there is also that sweet/sour pang of a devilish streak that makes it all the more delicious. Maybe?
