Like a flower that has been planted
beneath the soil below
Waiting the season, to make, an appearance
and when the time it will grow
But, not one day, that did go by
that a loving God didn't know about;
Not a night was out, of his sight
even when, there was a drought
Each passing night, beneath the stars
while covered with so much dirt
His watchful eyes was always near-by
to keep it from being hurt
When the sun came up, there was a stir
as it's warmth descended from above
And then there came, days of rain
that showered down with a touch of love
Nourishing it's roots to help it along
so the buds would take it's place
Onto each stem that waited for them
being done by the hands of grace
Now flower you've been, in the ground too long
it is now time for you to bloom
For your Heavenly Father, has beckoned
and has already prepared the room
So that you can take your place on earth
and to give to you, what is due
Now precious flower begin to thank him
for he now, beinging you through
No longer you'll have to stay in that bed
for it was only for a while
Now get ready to enjoy, the sunshine
and your time to wear a happy smile
