Evocations to the inside.
Outwardly opposite ways,
Holding firm…
Holding strong…
Keeping me away.

The days are cold and blue.
Frozen like the eyes that search their hue.
The lights are shining for you.
To come home…
To come back…

The only thing I’ve hoped for,
Of all the love that was just lost in your eyes.
That I would be the redeemer,
Of such a beautiful sight.
Did it fade…
Did it stray…
From me.

Too long have I gone without you.
Too much to ask me to stay.
At night I’m forced to dream about you
It’s more than I’m willing to pay,
To live without you…
To be without you…

So I walk away.

This is one of your very best poems. Your passion speaks between the lines.

I agree with Jerry and you do have a way with words.

You are very good at playing with your words in these poems. i absolutely love how you fine-tuned this one. It was pleasurable all the way through but when, at the end, you wrote the line that explained it all, it was just fantastic. I love it. You will have you day in the sun sooner than most, I'm betting.
