"The only way for me to go is up so here I go / I can't stay too far down too long as some who know me know"

I Offer My Hand

from one gentleman to another

The only way for me to go is up so here I go
I can't stay too far down too long as some who know me know

So my fine fancy fellow you think you can push me down
And I will just stay there? Well Bozo you look like a clown

Let's get it straight: I'm a punk I'm a poet I'm a priest
So if you won't back off have a little respect at least

Like matter Lucky Little Bastards cannot be destroyed
I want to be your friend and brother share a life enjoyed

Lay it down and let it ride: let's let the lady decide

Do you understand?
I offer my hand

There's a lot of power behind these words, Steven. Thank you. Love and peace to you. Regis

I agree and never let anyone put you down as I learned that a long time ago. When you have hit the bottom of the rung you can only climb up.
