The body that you see when looking at me
Is not the person that I really am
The body is no more than a container
A place for my soul to reside.

The body is made from a wonderful blueprint
But my body is not who I am
It is a mechanism that maintains life
It is the clothing around my spirit

I am the essence of all things good
I understand love, untainted by the world
I am beautiful because beauty is in the mind
My body is merely a home in which I live

My body ages with the years
But inside Iím still spry and full of vigor
My body aches with pain and fails me
My spirit senses no pain

One day the clothing wrapped around my soul
Will fade beneath the ground
But I will continue to be
Because I am not my body..

How lovely! It's simply amazing, isn't it? A true body held within a flesh one.

This is so true and it can be said of whoever has slipped the bond of the body to move on. From the female point of view the male physique isn't so bad either. In the new heaven there will not be any divisions because having a body will not matter, neither male or female nor race shall matter but what is written on the soul.

So true, todays outer shell, tomorrows worm food.

Must be honest though, the mind ain't what first attracts me..

Your words are so true, Sherry. What we wear on the outside is just genetics, but what is inside is who we are. Nice work!
Take care,
