Your age don't have nothing to do with your innocence...Being in love don't have nothing to do with love!

Hey Baby, what's your name?

I have seen the destruction
I have felt the pain
Tears flowing like
swollen rivers fill
waiting graves.

Gurl, your the one!

I have prayed in denial
I have witnessed souls depart
Tangled nerves shredded
discarded then recycled
yesterdays news.

You know I luv u!

I have loved with purity of heart
I have visited with angels
Innocence raped, corrupted
by selfish delusions
cascade into future generations.

You ain't shit!

I have touched mischievous deceit
I have rationalized malignant lies
Willing, yet unknowing
used and abused by a miscreant
waivering self-esteem.

Nobody wants you, but me!

I have been lulled into submission
I have been bullied into oppression
Soiled hands caressing
innocent flesh unable to
penetrate strong spirits.

Baby! I rebuff you, I'm free...Yeah!

I suppose that someday, sometime, in the glorious too distant future, man and woman will come together with the mental attitude of respect and undying, unselfish love for one another. I say that I suppose, but my instinct tells me that day will never come for the vast majority of the human population because, for the most part, when we embark on a love affair we are in it for our own selfish reasons. That said, then the result of both lovers selfish interest is what usually kills the deal. Good poem.
