" Wide Open Spaces "

Here where it is open
And the skies above me vast
And the veldt pulsates
With cantering grass in seed
Where I can still breath freely
And still belief in God
Stands my home

Which
I need to leave in anger
When I sit and dream
Of galleries under ground
Of winds upon my face
Free and wide
In the dust as I ride
On a flock of clouds
Here where it is spacious
Where I can see so far
The pale blue brings
A lump into my throat
I stand still
And wait for you
Wait’s years and more
But when my heartache rages
I hear a siren blow
As I drift away
To the unknown
On the wind I drift away
And in the moonlight search
For each delightful place
And the love we share
I stand before you my love
Just take my hand
Some sadness
Some of my darkness
And I could
Give you
Eternal
Love

Tinka,

You are a true artist with your quilled pen that becomes a paint brush every time you create a timeless (poetic) masterpiece; the verse; metaphors; imagery; symbolism - all brillant and vibrant colors from your palette of words, flowing freely with each stroke - Bravo my wonderful friend!!

Best always,

Outstanding, Tinka! Great imagery! The creative mind has depths that some find hard to fathom and emotional sensitivity(i.e. moods) that can be draining also. But this has to be weighed against the enormous depth of love and passion that can be shared...
