"The soul of the Earth is the beating of the drum.
The soul of the drum is the beating of my heart"
author unknown

When the Drummers Were Women

When the Drummers were Women
Did I not see you there?
Where Women drummed for Joy,
And sang their Songs
Well into the moonless Night,
Did I not hear your Voice?
Will you Drum again?
Will you bring back the Songs of Women,
Of Heart and Mother Earth,
 Sing out loud
 Sing again,
 Drum Forever.

Personally, I wish the world governments were led by women for a change. I like this very much. Thank you for sharing, Judi. Love and peace. Regis

This is very beautiful Judi, and it touched my heart. And yes, by all means, bring back the songs of women. May the Lord be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & (((HUGS))), Barbie

An inspiring composition. A true poetic questioning
on harmony and companionship is sung through the lines
of "When the Drummers Were Women".
