Another boring diatribe(?) on lack of muse & so forth...

Nothing of Consequence Here...

Can’t seem today to write anything worthy of thought,

All day has been one of looking for something, yes I have sought,

Maybe I should just give up and allow the creative juices to flow,

Or is this poem my juices flowing, my brain with my thoughts have up caught…

Screwing around and cleaning,

Wanting to write something of meaning,

Instead I have drifted about,

Between that which is and should be,

Don’t want to write something that may seem demeaning…

You know when you cannot get the muse to function,

Like having a day with a major malfunction,

I have had for the most part no real compunction,

But write I must, just trying to make my mind & muse meet at a junction…

A time in the past was there,

When I could write ten or more a day,

I seem to have lost that flair,

Unless I am working up to something,

That you should in the future beware…?

I am sorry to those of you looking for whatever it is you look for,

When you read another persons works of literary art,

Better to squat down and let out a great big fart,

This day has been not one for me to you show my smarts,

Maybe I would be better to do philosophy like that of Descartes…

So continue on with your search,

In the future you may discover what you want sitting on a perch,

But not from me today, this night, this moment in my life,

Better for me to recharge my batteries, rather than of my good name, besmirch…

Ed,

The day you run out of ideas is the day they outlaw poetry. SO THERE. You, my man, are a poet's DREAM--talk about being PROLIFIC LOL

No wonder I'm behind...you write 'em faster than I can read 'em, that's why you don't always see me. I do read 'em, when I have time :) (I'll always read you, sweetie)

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

"up caught…" I'd say you've outdone even yourself in creative word wizardry and "Yoda-type" phrasing... but you know what? It works for you... kinda like your 'trademark' ... you do it well. (smile)

Now what's this about not have 'juices?' Then, why am always so behind on reading your stuff? Huh? Your muse may seem illusive but methinks it's just your bean playing tricks on you. Brighten up, Eddie M... even when you think there's nothing there, you write and I don't see any complaints around here. On you gooooooo... katy xox

Ed, you do OK even when your muse takes a day off. I'll check you again and see how it goes then. Henry

Excuse me. I don't understand this poem. You say you are not writing, yet there are words here on the page that seem fine to me. ;-)

I always find what I'm looking for in your writes, Ed - either whacky humor, which I often truly relish, and can never get enough of; wonderful mother nature or Rufuz writes; or that unique sense of philosophy you have. So just - Keep on - Keepin On, as they say, and your muse will be inspiring you - as always.
